Gay neighborhood and the hotels in Taipei? I'm going to Taipei in Mid-June and looking for a nice hotel to stay.
I looked up on the Internet and found these hotels below:
"Ambience Hotel(喜瑞飯店)"
"The Grand Hotel(圓山大飯店)"
"The Ambassador Hotel(台北國賓大飯店)"
Of the three hotels above, which hotel is the best to stay in? The qualities I'm looking for are:
1. The hotel should be close to a subway/MRT station
2. The hotel should be close to a gay neighborhood in Taipei
3. The hotel should be close to major tourist spots in Taipei
Also, where can I find a bunch of gaybars in Taipei? |

Many Gay Bars
Opposite Ximen MRT station there is Red Theatre Plaza where many Taipei gay bars are located. Just go there and look for the many rainbow flags which will clearly show you the way. Relaxed atmosphere even during the day.

My step-mother works at a Marriott and she said that they already have had many gay wedding receptions and many same sex couples have stayed at Marriotts without any problems.
I hope this helps! Enjoy your life together!

| By "gay-friendly hotel" do you mean like brothels or hotels that serve gay people, because I'm pretty sure all hotels serve gay people. |

Are gay hotels and gay men only hotels discriminatory? While browsing facebook I saw an ad for "gay" and "gay male only" hotels.
Personally I think this is wrong. I am pro equality, pro choice. But if this is permitted for homosexuals it should be permitted for heterosexuals. Balance and fairness is about the levelling of the scales, not the tipping of them in favour of one group over another. I feel exactly the same way about the MOBOS. A lot of today's racism comes from the very people pointing fingers and from those who throw the racism accusation willy nilly, while having a fundamentally flawed argument. What do you think? Is it discriminatory? |
anting a gay only hotel is not discriminatory. Is an exclusively gay bar a discriminatory establishment? no.
and don't get it twisted. there are a LOT of hotels out there that when two men come in for a single bed room they get denied. So they started opening "GLBT ONLY" hotels so that homosexuals could go and stay somewhere without ever feeling discriminated against by staff and other hotel patrons.
look at eHarmony.com. that is a HETEROSEXUAL christian dating site. I guess we should be filing lawsuits because it isn't equal to other religions and sexual orientations? get your panties out of a twist and understand that no matter how much people push for equality, at the end of the day, we all want a place where we can go like a gay hotel or straight bar where we will be surrounded people just like us.
basically what you're saying is we shouldn't assign any material place to anything like sexual orientation, gender, age, race, marital status, socia status, etc. Which is retarded. there are places in this world where you need to set boundaries and its really just an obnoxious fight to say that homosexuals shouldn't have like one hotel on a beach strip that was designed just for them?
i guess we shouldn't have ladies rooms either? i mean they wanted equal rights to men so i say, lets get rid of the nice row of stalls and put in this piss trough or a bunch of urinals. BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE???
its all about building an establishment for the desired customer. If your desired customer is a homosexual, you're going to make your hotel to be "GLBT ONLY". in the same way that country clubs charge an arm and a leg for membership to make sure that everyone who attends is meeting a certain finance margin.
face it hunny. you're argument is just unthought. Realize that it segregation can sometimes be ok. It doesn't have to be 100% mixed all the time. It depends on why you're segregating, not the simple action. if you're segregating a hotle to make your patrons more comfortable with a homophobia free environment, i have no problem with that. You should try staying in a GLBT hotel. its really nice. you can kis your partner in public and people say "awww" not "ew". |
Any anonymous gay hotels in atlanta? My boy friend and I are trying to spend a night or two in a gay place (gey hotel or resort) in/near Atlanta, GA where we can be ourselves. But since we are closetted, we would like to stay at places where they dont ask for credit cards or names/address. We do not want to leave a trail.
Any suggestions ?
gay bashers: please do not respond. |
I didn't know hotels had sexes and genders. When hotels mate, what do they produce??? Convenient stores?
This is an unrelated question, but:
If gays what to be taken seriously by mainstream society, asking for anonymous sex is not really helping your plight now is it? It's actually re enforcing the general notion that gays are hedonistic, unstable, and irresponsible. Good job there. |
